| General Information: | VEGFs (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factors) are a group of homodimer glycoproteins. The subunits are linked by disulfide bonds. (MW reduced form 18-24 kDa). VEGFs are involved in angiogenesis during embryogenesis and in tumour progression and generation of metastasis. They possess mitogenic characteristics and specifically increase the permeability of endothelia in blood vessels.
