Price: 310 € / 50 µl

Polyclonal Antibody

Origin:Rabbit

Isotype:Ig

Clone:polyclonal

Format:liquid conc.

Quantity:50 µl

Concentration:

Working concentration:1:200 to 1:400 for immunofluorescence, incubation at +4°C over night

Presentation:Antiserum lyophilized

Immunogen:Synthetic Peptide CYS(21)-NPY (1-21), conjugated to BSA

Specificity:Neuropeptide Tyrosine (NPY), 10-100 µg NPY(1-20) per ml diluted antiserum will block total immunoreactivity. Blocking with the same amount of PYY or PP is ineffective.

Species Specificity:Rat, Mouse, Human

General Information:NPY is found in neurons and in the adrenal medulla. Large quantities of NPY are found in the brain, but it also exists in peripheral nerve fibres. In sympathetic nerve fibres the peptide coexists with noradrenalin. An overexpression is found in pheochromocytoma.

Special properties:The antibody is well suited for the detection of NPY in tissues and tissue extracts. Best results are found on cryostat sections fixed with Stefanini´s fixative.

Positive control:Pancreas, brain, adrenal medulla

Pre-treatment:Unmasking method for paraffin sections not established

Applications:IHC(C)

Secondary reagents:Anti-rabbit IgG:Biotin conjugate (code no. ZU101) in conjunction with Streptavidin-HRPO (code no. ZU054) or VECTOR ImmPress rabbit IgG Kit (code no. MP-7401).

Storage:2-8°C

UniProt Accession No.:   P01303 (NPY_HUMAN)
