Presentation:	Antibody solution in stabilizing phosphate buffer pH 7.3. Contains 0.09 % sodium azide**. The volume is sufficient for at least 100 immunohistochemical tests (100 µl working solution / test). Use appropriate antibody diluent e.g. BIOLOGO Art .No. PU002.

Immunogen:	Chicken skeletal muscle cell preparation

Specificity:	Myosin, 75kDa part of the heavy chain, not reactive with alpha-cardiac myosin

Species Specificity:	Human, chicken and other vertebrates

General Information:	Additional to the intermediary filaments the cyto-skeleton contains contractile micro-filaments or proteins like Actin, Myosin and Tubulin. These contractile filaments occur in most cell types, but they are abundant in muscle cells and myoepithelial cells.

Special properties:	The antibody clone 414 detects Myosin mainly in the cytoplasm of muscle cells and myoepithelia, not reactive with heart muscle myosin.

Positive control:	Skeletal muscle

Pre-treatment:	Formalin-fixed tissue should be pre-treated at 96-100°C with citrate buffer (pH 6, Art. No. DE000), TRIS/EDTA (pH 8-9, Art. No. DE006) or Unmasking Fluid G (Glycol based, Art. No. DE007)

Applications:	IHC(P)

Incubation time:	60 min at RT

Secondary reagents:	We recommend the use of BIOLOGO's Universal Staining System DAB (Art. No. DA005) or AEC (Art.-No. AE005), if higher sensitivity is required VECTASTAIN Elite ABC (Art. No. PK-6102) or ABC AP (Art. No. AK-5002) systems are applicable.
