Price: 280 € / 0.25 ml

Polyclonal Antibodies

Origin:Rabbit

Isotype:Ig

Clone:polyclonal

Format:liquid conc.

Quantity:0.25 ml

Working concentration:1:50

Presentation:Antibody solution in stabilizing phosphate buffer pH 7.3. Contains 0.09 % sodium azide**. The volume is sufficient for at least 100 immunohistochemical tests (100 µl working solution / test). Use appropriate antibody diluent e.g. BIOLOGO Art .No. PU002.

Immunogen:Synthetic Bombesin (frog) conjugated with bovine thyroglobulin

Specificity:Bombesin (pGlu-Gln-Arg-Leu-Gly Asn-Gln-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-Leu-Met-NH2) and related peptides e.g. Gastrin Releasing Peptide (mammalian homolog aa sequence bold)

Species Specificity:Amphibians, Mammalians

General Information:The tetradecapeptide is a biological active neuropeptide in the CNS and in peripheral nerves of amphibian. It has effects on thermoregulation and the motility of the intestine. In neurons of the CNS it may co-exist with substance P, in the intestine however different cells were located immunohistochemically for substance P and Bombesin / GRP (Costa et al. 1984).

Special properties:The antibody against Bombesin is well suited to detect the neuropeptide in different tissues of vertebrates especially in amphibia (brain, peripheral nerves, neuroendocrine cells of the lung). Due to its sequence homology with GRP (Gastrin Releasing Peptide) it is also suitable for the detection of GRP in mammals including humans. Beside its normal occurrence in the intestinal tract, GRP is found in carcinoids of the lung and in other neuroendocrine tumours.

Positive control:Amphibian brain, gut (peripheral nerves) fetal lun

Pre-treatment:No protease pre-treatment required. Improvement may be achieved by HIER.

Applications:IHC (C,P)

Incubation time:IHC(P) 60 min at RT or 2-8°C over night

Secondary reagents:We recommend the use of BIOLOGO's Universal Staining System DAB (Art. No. DA005) or AEC (Art.-No. AE005), if higher sensitivity is required VECTASTAIN Elite ABC (Art. No. PK-6101) or ABC AP (Art. No. AK-5001) systems are applicable.

Storage:2-8°C
