Monoclonal antibody

Origin:Mouse

Isotype:IgG1

Clone:MRQ-5

Format:liquid conc.

Quantity:0.5 ml

Working concentration:1:50-1:200 (IHC)

Presentation:Affinity purified antibody in PBS containing 0.2%BSA and 0.09% sodium azide

Immunogen:Synthetic human p120 catenin protein

Specificity:Catenin Deta 1; p120 Catenin

Species Specificity:Human

General Information:p120 Catenin binds E-Cadherin at a juxta-membrane site, while alpha-Catenin and beta-Catenin bind to the intracellular domain of E-Cadherin. The complex stabilizes tight junctions. A deficiency of E-Cadherin results in the intracytoplasmic accumulation of p120 Catenin. Lobular carcinoma of the breast shows intracytoplasmic accumulation of p120 Catenin while ductal carcinoma shows reduced membrane p120 Catenin without cytoplasmic accumulation. In gastric and colonic carcinoma, strong cytoplasmic p120 Catenin is associated with dyscohesive infiltrative morphology. The high expression of p120 may indicate poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma, bladder cancer, pancreatic cancer.

Positive control:Lobular carcinoma of the breast, Melanoma

Pre-treatment:Pretreatment of paraffin sections at high temperature is required. Suitable buffers are 0.01 M Citrate buffer (Art. No. DE000) or TRIS/EDTA buffer (pH 9; Art. No. DE006).

Applications:IHC(C, P)

Secondary reagents:Anti-mouse IgG conjugate, biotinylated (Art. No.ZU102) in combination with streptavidin:HRPO (Art. No. ZU054)

Storage:2-8°C
