Price: 1150 € / 1 Kit / 96 Wells

ELISA

Origin:Mouse

Isotype:IgG

Clone:7C1 and 6D12

Format:MTP

Quantity:1 Kit / 96 Wells

Presentation:ELISA Kit contains 96 Well MTP coated with anti-AGE (Glukose-modifed), 2 x 250 µl Glukose-modifizied AGE standard, 15 ml diluent for standards and samples, 60 µl anti-AGE (6D12) : HRPO-Konjugat, 2 OPD-substrate tablets, 30 ml substrate solution, 15 ml stop solution, 30 ml wash buffer (20x konc.), 1 MTP for dilutions.

Species Specificity:not relevant

General Information:Long-term incubation of proteins with glucose leads, through Schiff's base and Amadori rearrangement products, to the formation of advanced glycation end products (AGE) which are characterized by fluorescence, brown color and inter- and intra-molecular cross-linking. Recent immunological studies using anti-AGE antibodies demonstrated the presence of AGE in (i) human lens, (ii) renal proximal tubules in patients with diabetic nephropathy and chronic renal failure, (iii) atherosclerotic lesions of arterial walls, (iv) ß2-microglobulin of carpal tunnel amyloid fibril deposits in patients with hemodialysis-related amyloidosis and (v) brain tissues of patients with Alzheimer's disease. These results suggested the potential role of AGE in normal aging and age-enhanced disease processes.

Special properties:The kit is well suited for the measurement of AGEs in diluted serum. The concentration range of the assay is from 8 to 500 ng/ml, intra assay variance for 2 concentrations (n=7) CV=6,7 and 1,8%, Inter assay variance (n=10) CV=3,6 and 7,8, recovery rate for 1:30 diluted serum 96 to 108%

Positive control:Serum of diabetic patients

Applications:ELISA

Storage:-20°C
