Presentation:Antibody solution in stabilizing phosphate buffer pH 7.3. Contains 0.09 % sodium azide**. The volume is sufficient for at least 100 immunohistochemical tests (100 µl working solution / test). Use appropriate antibody diluent e.g. BIOLOGO Art .No. PU002.

Immunogen:Purified Laminin from murine EHS sarcoma

Specificity:Laminin 200 - 220 kDa, no cross-reactivity with human Collagen Type I, III, IV and V.

Species Specificity:Mouse, human

General Information:Laminins are glycoproteins of the extracellular matrix, especially of the basal membranes. They are multifunctional molecules, which play an important role during development, differentiation and migration of cells. This ability is due to the interaction of Laminin with receptors on the cell surface like Integrins, Collagen type IV, Proteoglycans and other components of the basal membrane. Laminins are composed of two heavy chains (A and M, 300-400 kDa) and a light chain (B1, B2 or S, 200 - 220 kDa).

Special properties:The antibody against Laminin primarily labels basal membranes (especially s. c. lamina lucida) and may be used to detect disturbances in the basal membrane during tumour invasion. Laminin is also found in extracellular matrix not related to basal membranes, e.g. in the proximity of neurons especially during development, regeneration and tumour development.

Positive control:Human skin, amnion

Pre-treatment:Pre-treatment of formalin-fixed tissue with Pepsin or Pronase E (art. no. DE110).

Applications:IHC(P)

Incubation time:60 min at RT

Secondary reagents:We recommend the use of BIOLOGO's Universal Staining System DAB (Art. No. DA005) or AEC (Art. No. AE005), for higher sensitivities VECTASTAIN Elite ABC (Art. No. PK-6101) or ABC AP (Art. No. AK-5001) systems are applicable.

Storage:2-8°C

Notes:
*BIOLOGO's antibodies are intended for in vitro research use only. They must not be used for clinical diagnostics and not for in vivo experiments in humans or animals.

** The preservative sodium azide is known to be poisonous and potentially hazardous to health. It should be handled only by trained staff. Despite of the product's low azide concentration it must be handled with care. Dispose according to regional rules!
