BCR001-1.0: BCOR (BCL-6 interacting corepressor)

Origin:Mouse

Isotype:IgG1/k

Clone:C10

Format:conc.

Quantity:1 ml

Working concentration:1:100

Presentation:Purified antibody in PBS with 0.2% BSA and 15 mM sodium azide.

Immunogen:Synthetic peptide against amino acids 1-300 mapping at the N-terminus of BCOR of human origin

Species Specificity:Human, others not known

General Information:BCL-6 interacting corepressor (BCOR) is a 1,755 amino acid protein that associates with histone deacetylases to transcriptionally repress BCL-6. BCOR mRNA is ubiquitously expressed in various tissues. However, the BCOR protein expression in adult tissue is limited to testis only. Recently, the BCOR rearrangement was detected in a subset of small blue round, spindle cell, and undifferentiated sarcomas, which results in overexpression of BCOR protein in these tumors, including small round cell sarcoma (~100%), clear cell sarcoma of kidney (100%), high-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (100%) with YWHAE-NUTM2 translocation, and subset of synoval sarcoma (50%). The list of BCOR positive tumors is still expending.

Positive control:Endometrial stromal sarcoma

Pre-treatment:Pretreatment of deparaffinized tissue with heat-induced epitope retrieval is recommended.

Applications:IHC (P)

Secondary reagents:Polymer anti-mouse IgG detection systems

Storage:2-4°C

Notes:
The preservative sodium azide is known to be poisonous and potentially hazardous to health. It should be handled only by trained staff. Despite of the product's low azide concentration it must be handled with care. Dispose according to regional rules!

BIOLOGO's antibodies are intended for in vitro research use only. They must not be used for clinical diagnostics and not for in vivo experiments in humans or animals.
