| Immunogen: | Recombinant rat delta-N-delta-C VEGF-D (native protein) |
| Specificity: | Rat VEGF-D, no reactivity with VEGF-A and -C |
| Species Specificity: | Rat, cross-reaction with mouse and human |
| General Information: | VEGFs (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factors) are a group of homodimer glycoproteins. The subunits are linked by disulfide bonds. (MW reduced form 18-24 kDa). VEGFs are involved in angiogenesis during embryogenesis and in tumour progression and generation of metastasis. They possess mitogenic characteristics and specifically increase the permeability of endothelia in blood vessels. |
| Special properties: | The polyclonal antibody against VEGF-D is well suited to detect rat VEGF-D in body fluids, tissues and culture media. |
| Positive control: | Metastasing tumours of different origin |
| Applications: | ELISA, WB (red. cond.), IHC not tested |
| Secondary reagents: | As secondary reagents we recommend the VECTASTAIN ABC Elite Kit Rabbit IgG (Ref. PK-6101) or ImmPRESS anti-Rabbit IgG (Ref. MP-7401) |
