Quantity:1 ml

Working concentration:1:10 - 1:20

Presentation:Antibody solution in stabilizing phosphate buffer pH 7.3. Contains 0.09 % sodium azide**. The volume is sufficient for at least 100 immunohistochemical tests (100 µl working solution / test). Use appropriate antibody diluent e.g. BIOLOGO Art .No. PU002.

Immunogen:Synthetic MUC-3 fragment 35 aa containing the tandem repeat sequence of MUC-3: C-HSTPSFTSSITTTETTSHSTPSFTSSITTTETTS

Specificity:Hochmolecular glycoprotein MUC-3 and epitope SITTTE, no cross-reactivity with HMFG, MUC-1 and MUC-2.

Species Specificity:Human

General Information:Mucins are a group of high molecular glycoproteins, which are produced and secreted by glandular epithelia. They are used for the protection of epithelia of the lung, stomach, intestine and the uro-genital tracts. Until now 7 different mucins have been described, which show a characteristic pattern of distribution in different organs and parts of the intestine respectively. This pattern usually changes during carcinogenesis.

Special properties:The antibody M3.1 reacts with normal cells of the colon and with colon carcinoma. Glandular epithelia of the breast, ling and salivary glands are stained to a lesser extent.

Positive control:Colon carcinoma and normal colon

Pre-treatment:Acetone fixation of cryostat and fresh material

Applications:ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry (cryostat sections only)

Incubation time:60 min at RT

Secondary reagents:We recommend the use of BIOLOGO's Universal Staining System DAB (Art. No. DA005) or AEC (Art.-No. AE005), if higher sensitivity is required VECTASTAIN Elite ABC (Art. No. PK-6102) or ABC AP (Art. No. AK-5002) systems are applicable.

Storage:2-8°C
