Presentation:	Antibody solution in stabilizing phosphate buffer pH 7.3. Contains 0.09 % sodium azide**. The volume is sufficient for at least 100 immunohistochemical tests (100 µl working solution / test). Use appropriate antibody diluent e.g. BIOLOGO Art .No. PU002.

General Information:	Carcinoembryonic Antigen is a high molecular glycoprotein (180 kDa), which is detected in foetal colon and in colorectal carcinoma. It is a component of the s. c. glycocalyx of the embryonal endodermal epithelium. In normal adult colon it is found in very small amount only. In colorectal carcinoma and metastases of intestinal carcinoma however, it is strongly exprimed.

Special properties:	CEA is frequently used as a differential marker for adenocarcinoma and mesothelioma.

Pre-treatment:	Improvement of staining with Unmasking Fluid G (Art. No. DE007) or Unmasking Fluid C (Art. No. DE000)

Applications:	IHC(C,P)

Incubation time:	60 min RT

Secondary reagents:	We recommend the use of BIOLOGO's Universal Staining System DAB (Art. No. DA005) or AEC (Art.-No. AE005), if higher sensitivity is required VECTASTAIN Elite ABC (Art. No. PK-6102) or ABC AP (Art. No. AK-5002) systems are applicable.
